Hollywood Poker, the ongame skin that once promised the allure of ‘playing with the stars’, abruptly closed down yesterday without notice and fair warning to its confused players. Fear not, though, players, because your bank rolls remain intact as according to Hollywood Poker, they’re going to be migrated to its Ongame colleague, Red Kings.
Upon finding out about the news, we immediately hopped on over to Hollywood Poker’s site to find out what really happened. When we got there, we were greeted with a message from HP, essentially confirming that they’ve bolted their doors and sent their players to RedKings. Check out the official message from HP’s website below:
“HollywoodPoker has stopped offering online poker. So that you can continue playing on the Ongame Network we have arranged to transfer your account with your entire account Balance to RedKings.com, a leading Ongame Network gaming site offering superb casino and poker games in a secure environment. Please be informed that your HollywoodPoker account, along with your entire account balance, has been transferred over to RedKings.com. Your nickname and password will remain the same. Simply log into Redkings.com with your HollywoodPoker username and password.”
Curious George, indeed. 
Interestingly enough, Hollywood Poker’s sister casino, Club Hollywood, is “undergoing construction”, according to Pokerfuse.com.
Players of Hollywood Poker have all the reason to be upset, but then again, it could’ve been worse. You know, you could’ve lost your bankrolls just like that. But Hollywood Poker has assured its players that steps are being taken to transfer their HP account to RedKings. So yeah, all’s not lost for Hollywood Poker players. While it’s certainly upsetting not to at least get a heads-up from HP about the closure, at the end of the day, if player funds remain intact, then this will all boil down to merely a sudden change in settings and environment.
