Redskins QB situation dicey

rexGrossmanIf you’re a Washington Redskins fan, chances are you’re not a happy camper right now. Everyone knows you can’t win in the NFL without a great QB, and Redskins fans, the future of their team as it stands right now, hinges on the arms of John Beck who has a grand total of 60 passes in the NFL and Rex Grossman who was basically run out of town in Chicago.

It’s not surprising then that there’s reports of a severe lack of fans at the Redskins training camp. According to the DC Fan, the Redskins are used to hosting upwards of 10-15,000 fans on average each day, that number has dwindled down to 3,000 or so fans showing up to support the team.

The players are noticing the change too. Chris Cooley said, “It is probably a fifth of what I’ve seen on a normal day.”- DC Fan.
With the Redskins having recently signed Grossman, they now have two QB’s that no one except Mike Shanahan has confidence in.

For Redskins fans, confusion must be setting in. They get rid of a young prospect in Jason Campbell, they spend big money to acquire a veteran and Pro Bowl caliber QB in Donovan McNabb and then they get rid of McNabb, leaving little known and aging QB John Beck and Rex Grossman to battle it out for the starting spot.

Hate to be a Redskins fan in the DC area right now. But, hey, let’s look on the bright side, at least they might be able gamble legally online soon. Oh, wait…Oops.
