The Asian Poker Tour in 2018

Manila, Philippines, December 18, 2017 – With 2018 on the horizon, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) announces a list of upcoming changes to look forward to along with the schedule of events for next year’s season. Here is a closer look what’s in store for 2018…

Every year, the APT seeks out ways to improve the games and the overall player experience. Through feedback and suggestions from playThe Asian Poker Tour in 2018ers, here’s what we have for you coming 2018…

– Due to the deep structure of the Main Event and Championships Event, registration for both events will now remain open until the start of Level 10. This will allow players to enter into Day 2.

– Guaranteed prize pools for Main Events in Macau and in the Philippines plus other selected destinations throughout the year.

– Retiring the APT Player of Year after 6 years and trading it in for a more rewarding APT Player of the Series program. In addition to the APT POS exclusive watch and trophy rewards, the top player will also receive a 5 night stay at our next stop and US$500 in cash.

– A revamped pay table that pays out 1 place for every 6 entries. The change will make it much easier for players to identify the number of places paid in any given event and the “1 for every 6” formula equates to deeper generous payouts.

– More Championships stops in 2018 to give players two high caliber events running back-to-back in a span of nine days
