3-barrels of true value including Chris Moorman and Dan Fleyshman giving us an update on their respective book projects and David Williams fails to win 2016 Masterchef.
When the world’s most successful online tournament player in history signs with a publisher to launch a book the poker world gets pretty excited.
I didn’t.
I wasn’t interested in his grey matter.
I wanted to learn how he won millions at the table and then lost it creating one of the craziest stables in the history of the game.
I am hoping that I get the chance to read all about it in his second book.
Moorman’s publisher, D&B Publishing, has announced plans to release a second Moorman book titled Moorman: The Inside Story of the Most Successful Online Poker Player in History. The due date is July 2017, coinciding with the annual migration to the World Series of Poker (WSOP), so I expect the bookshop opposite the Amazon entrance in the Rio to be chocked full of the things.
The book will delve into his career, as well as contain hand analysis from both Moorman, Daniel Negreanu, Liv Boeree and Fedor Holz.
I’m getting excited about this one.
David Williams Falls Short of Masterchef Goal
One poker player who was hoping to have his own book was the former PokerStars Team Pro, David Williams.
The WSOP bracelet winner and World Poker Tour (WPT), Champions Club member, made the final three of the reality TV show Masterchef where the winner would have walked away with a $250,000 first prize and a cookbook.
Williams squared off against Fifth-Grade Teacher, Brandi Mudd, and DJ Shaun O’Neale with the final vote going to Neale. Williams was a gentleman in defeat and will be appearing on the Joey Ingram Podcast to talk about his exploits on the show.
They got it right. He was the best on day 1. The best throughout the show and the best in the finale. Congrats @djshaunoneale #MasterChef

So what next for Williams? Dan Fleyshman thinks his future lies on a table containing chips of a very different kind.
@dwpoker Wolfgang Puck looked like he wanted to make you Head Chef of one of his restaurants.(But I’m guessing you’ll have your own in 2017) — Dan Fleyshman (@DanFleyshman) September 15, 2016
