888Poker will host the fifth iteration of their Super XL Series in May. The event will consist of 40 tournaments, $3m in guaranteed prize money, and a $1m guaranteed Main Event.

888Poker has become the third online poker network to host an elite online poker series in the month of May. The 888Poker Super XL Series will take place May 14-22, will consist of 40 events, and offer $3m in guaranteed prizes.40

The format of the festival will see Mini and Main themed events for the low and high rollers, and a Turbo theme for those that like to get in and out with as little fuss as possible.

The star attraction will be the $1,050 buy-in Main Event carrying a $1m guarantee. It will run Sunday, May 22. The last Super XL Main Event held in January created a $1.2m prize pool making it the largest prize pool offered on 888Poker. Finnish player jnevanli defeated the UK’s carmen.1957 to win the top prize of $182,663 after the pair had carved out a heads-up deal.

Other highlights include:

• $160 buy-in Opening Event Multi-Chance with $250,000 GTD

• $600 buy-in Whale with $200,000 GTD

• $2,100 buy-in High Roller with $400,000 GTD

Satellites for the event are available for as little as a single cent.
