Ole Schemion is the latest big name signed to star in the Celebrity Cash Kings cash game, streamed lived from the Czech Republic’s Kings Casino this weekend.
Ole Schemion is the latest superstar to agree to feature in Celebrity Cash Kings. The live cash game, due to be streamed live from the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, will take place this weekend, and it’s turning into an interesting affair.
The addition of Schemion means the event is top heavy with German presence. Max Altergott, Philipp Gruissem, Igor Kurganov and George Danzer are the other German players already confirmed to play.
A queen will also be joining the kings. PokerStars Team Pro, Liv Boeree, will also feature in the event, as well as the Americans Dan Colman and Daniel Cates. The Jungleman believes it will be the perfect warm up prior to the action at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Grand Final in Monte Carlo.
“The line up keeps getting stronger,” Cates told the event organizer Warren Lush. “I’m hoping to get on Leon’s special taxi to Monte Carlo well in the black.”
Cates is referring to the King’s Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik. The high stakes poker player, and businessman, won a Global Poker Index (GPI) European Poker Award (EPA) for his services towards the game this Spring, and achieved notoriety when he entered the €100,000 Super High Roller in Monte Carlo, bust, and then spun up another €100,000 on the craps table, so he could buy back in. His second bullet didn’t last long either.
“We do a regular stream of cash game action from King’s, but this Celebrity Cash King’s is the toughest and most prestigious yet with many of the world’s best players involved,” said Tsoukernik.
The taxi that Cates refers to is a private jet Tsoukernik has laid on to fly the players to the EPT Grand Final Super High Roller, in Monte Carlo, as soon as the action ends.
The action will take place across three different sessions Sun 26th and Mon 27th. The game will begin as a €50/€100 No-Limit Hold’em (NLHE) cash game, although Lush advises that the game will evolve, and could even turn into a higher stakes Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) game.
The hand for hand play will be streamed with a short delay on www.cashkings.tv. The stream will begin Sun 26th Apr at 17:30 (CET), and is expected to run for 5-6 hours. The second leg will begin Mon 27th Apr at 15:30 (CET), with a third leg due to begin at 20:30 (CET) on the same day.
The event will be rake free and signifies the beginning of a partnership between the King’s Casino and Raising for Effective Giving (REG) the non-profit organization fronted by Boeree, Gruissem and Kurganov. It’s anticipated that the two organizations will host more events in the future, with the rake going towards the charities that REG supports.
REG won the award for the Best Charitable Contributor at the recent GPI EPA’s.
