Virtual games specialist Kiron Interactive partners with IPG International to supply its new Keno game to one of Asia’s leading casinos—NagaWorld Hotel and Casino in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Kiron and IPG signed a multi-year agreement in September 2014, providing players with an enterprise-class gaming platform which is customized to conform to NagaWorld’s local requirements and deliver a secure, reliable and feature-complete solution.
It will be offered to the casino in a purpose-built area that includes a state of the art audio-visual system to maximize its appeal to customers.
According to Steven Spartinos, co-CEO of Kiron Interactive, the new Keno solution has benefitted from the company’s lengthy experience in the virtual games industry and a detailed review of both operator needs and existing Keno systems available in the market.
“We are excited to join forces with IPG and provide our solution to Naga World, a leading regional casino,” Spartinos added.
“The strategic alliance with Kiron Interactive to provide Keno to NagaWorld Casino is another example of IPG’s continued commitment to providing cutting-edge gaming solutions, options and alternatives to meet the gaming requirements of leading casinos in the Asia Pacific Region today and in the future,” said IPG CEO William Redshaw.
Grand Dragon Resorts Deals with Ezugi
Another casino in Cambodia, Grand Dragon Resorts, signed a partnership with live dealer gaming system provider Ezugi to offer proxy betting.
The agreement will allow Ezugi, using its casino streaming technology, to broadcast live table action direct from the casino floor, including VIP baccarat tables.
Ezugi provides live dealer studio solutions across three continents— Europe, South America and now Asia.
The Dai Long Co Ltd-owned Grand Dragon Resorts is located in Chreythom, Kandal province and offers several types of table games.
Kfir Kugler, chief executive of Ezugi, said, “Live casino streaming is increasingly popular with players as those off-site … can see, hear and interact with actual tables and dealers.”
Grand Dragon Resorts’ proxy betting offering could appeal to mainland Chinese players that are already a customer of Macau junkets but prefer not to be seen in Macau following the anti-corruption crackdown. However, mainland China prohibits and tries to block any websites offering online betting to its citizens.
Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau also prohibits Macau casinos and gaming promoters from doing live online video streaming of gambling games. But some casino operators allow off-site players to phone in their bets to a junket agent present at the table.
Sands China Ltd. had told its junket partners that phone betting would no longer be allowed in its Macau casinos.
Earlier this year, Singapore’s parliament passed the Remote Gambling Act, blocking online gambling within the city-state and barring banks from processing payments by Singapore citizens for online gambling services.
