Eric Blair wins the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Main Event at the Lodge Casino, Black Hawk, Colorado, after a tough three-hours heads-up battle with Nicholas Petitti.
Eric Blair and Craig Varnell have taken two of the remaining WSOP National Championship seats after a triumphant time in Black Hawk, Colorado.
Blair reigned supreme in Event #11: No-Limit Hold’em (NLHE) $1,675 Main Event Championship, where he earned $116,325 for his second six-figure score of his career.
It’s been a great year for Blair who picks up his third win of 2014 after capturing the top prizes in a $2,000 Wynn Classic event in Las Vegas for $48,752, and the top prize in a $1,100 Deep Stack Extravaganza Event for $90,919, also in Vegas.
Day 3 of the Main Event started with just five players in contention for the gold ring, and after the first level of play only two remained. They were the eventual winner, Blair, and Nicholas Petitti, who battled it out for three hours of heads-up action before Blair’s AQ out-flipped the pocket tens of Petitti.
330-entrants created a $495,000 prize pool, and Craig Varnell finished in third position to take the Casino Championship honors, and also secure his seat in the WSOP National Championships due to be held May 22-24 at Bally’s, Atlantic City.
