Asian Poker Tour set for return to Cambodia this July

APT-Asian-Series-CambodiaAfter a memorable stop in Cambodia in late 2012, the Asian Poker Tour is headed back to the Majestic Kingdom for the next installment of its APT Asian Series this coming July. More specifically, the event will be held from July 23 to July 30 at the recently-opened poker room in Queenco Casino and Hotel in the Cambodian beach town of Sihanoukville.

After a landmark tournament in November 2012, the APT didn’t return to Cambodia in 2013 over what CEO Jeff Mann described as ‘factors beyond our control’. But with a new year, not to mention a new poker room partner, the APT is set to return to Cambodia with a new lineup of exciting poker events for its Cambodian players.

“A new poker room could not have a better endorsement than having its first major tournament branded and managed by APT,” Poker@Queenco co-owner Michael Ross said. “We are very confident about having a very enjoyable action-packed 8 day event that will attract players from around the World”.

Julian Wagner, Vice President – Operations, Queenco Casino and Hotel adds:  We have a lot to offer players; there is so much to see and do, in addition to what will be our first international poker event. We are very sure that all APT players will have a memorable experience which will ensure we stay a permanent destination on APT’s tour calendar in the future”.

As part of APT Asian Series Cambodia 2014, the one-week poker festival will include a heavy dose of poker events, highlighted by the USD$1,000 buy-in Main Event. On top of that, 13 side events are also on the calendar, as well as seven satellites, and a high-roller event.
