Twitter user Tommy Morrison goes 16-0 on MNF picks

tommy-morrisonHaving a .600 betting record on the NFL is damn near close to impossible unless you’re really, really good at handicapping these games. But this guy on Twitter, Tommy Morrison (@TommyMorrison0), was so good on his picks throughout the season that he went a sparkling 16-0 on Monday Night Football games. Considering the weird finishes some of those games had, accurately picking the outcome and the spread in each and every one of those games is incredibly impressive.

Morrison began the season by picking an “Eagles win and cover” and a “Texans win but Chargers cover” and true enough the results of both games happened the way he said it. Soon enough, he was racking up winning picks week after week including accurately picking the Seahawks “to win but not cover over the Rams” in Week 8 as -13.5 favorites and a week after that, a Bears win and cover as 10-point underdogs against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

The streak continued well into the later weeks of the season, capping off with a Week 16 pick – the last Monday Night football game of the season –  with a 49ers win over the Falcons with Atlanta covering the 13.5-point spread.

A perfect 16-0 record on Monday Night Football and if that wasn’t impressive enough, Morrison also tweeted at the start of the NFL season that the “Seahawks will beat the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII“. That’s not as impressive as the 16-o MNF record because since the beginning, those two teams were already the favorites to play in the Super Bowl. Still worthy of applause, though, but not as much as running through the entire NFL season without a loss on those Monday Night Football games.

If Morrison is as clairvoyant as his picks seem to tell about him, then that’s a streak that’s unlikely to be replicated anytime soon.
