Open Face Chinese Poker site launched by Tony G, as the popular format comes to the online poker world for the first time, through TonybetPoker.com.
The name of Tony G has once again been thrust into the headlines of poker news outlets around the world, after announcing the opening of the world’s first dedicated Open Face Chinese Poker (OFCP) online poker site on Dec 11th 2013.
“Today I’m coming to all poker players around the world with the best Xmas gift!” Tony said in his latest blog post. “I have the biggest thing since the invention of online poker in my hands and I want to share it with all of you!”
The news comes almost a month after the PokerStars Players Council approached the Red Spade headquarters to host OFCP games in the lobby of the world’s largest online poker room.
That request was rebuffed as the PokerStars technical team felt that: ‘programmers had already developed very sophisticated bots that perform at a very high level in this game of perfect information (OFCP), making it a poor choice to add to our selection of games.’
Not another online poker scandal waiting in the wings please…
Nothing can cause the enthusiasm of the G-Meister General to wane though.

The move comes less than a year after Tony G ended his relationship with PartyPoker to switch to his own franchise.
