We decided to ask our readers which emerging region would see the most growth as affiliate programs expand internationally.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that Asia got 54.17% of the votes. Casino operators and regulators have been flocking to Asia because of the kind of business they can get from the region.  Shares in Macau casino operators alone have surged over the past year and the Philippines has followed suit with Entertainment City.

Latin America received 27.08% of the votes. With strong growth in the LatAm region helping global lottery sales increase by 4.6% in the first half of 2013. Brazil is also a very important region to focus on because the World Cup will take place there next year.

Receiving 12.5% of the votes was Africa. Although the gaming industry in Africa is heavily regulated, the industry experienced healthy growth last year and operators have been expanding/upgrading their properties to offer a better experience to gamblers. Compared to regions such as North America, Europe or Asia, Africa is still green but the industry is gathering pace so affiliates should consider looking into it.

Russia received 6.25% of the votes. Last year witnessed the continuation of the steady growth of the Russian gaming market, which reached $1.3 billion in turnover, up 16% from 2011. The growth perspectives of the Russian gaming market are mostly dependent on the online and mobile segments.

Deciding which region will see the most growth as affiliate programs expand internationally will all depend on which region affiliates choose to focus on but if the results are any indication of things to come, Asia is where affiliates would want to be. For next week’s poll, we ask which New Jersey Casino will have the most online success. Check back next week to see what our readers think.
