Do you want to know a secret?

Poker tournaments are just like porn. When you watch the edited version on the television or Internet it’s full of excitement, but when you watch the whole thing it can reduce a man to perform seppuku.

That is except for the PartyPoker Premier league. It’s the goddam greatest poker tournament in the world, and the recent poker news that Vanessa Selbst, will be joining the show just whets my appetite even further, as I countdown the days to the kick off at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal 20th-26th Nov.

Selbst became my favorite poker player on the planet after she moved me to tears during her exit from the Premier League two seasons ago. Since that inspirational performance she has won her second World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) $25k Super High Roller, finished fourth in the €25k EPT Grand Final Super High Roller, finished second in the World Poker Tour (WPT) Borgata Poker Open and only this week took down the United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) High Roller.

She is simply unstoppable and will be one of my faves to win the title when the action gets underway in November. The other four players that have been announced by PartyPoker include Tony G, Jeff Gross, Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Laak.

Rumors are abound that Warren Lush is at a crucial stage in negotiations to bring the once mighty Vice Admiral Timothy Giardina to the table. We will keep you updated when we here more.
