With less than three weeks to go before the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino opens it’s doors to welcome the 44th

The 7th Annual WSOPE will be moving home for the third time as it plays out Oct 12 to October 25th in Paris, France. The first four events were held at The Empire Casino, Leicester Square in London. Annette Obrestad made history when she became the youngest-ever person to win a WSOP bracelet after defeating John Tabatabai to win the inaugural main event back in 2007. Obrestad was one day shy of her 19th birthday when she took that title. John Juanda (2008), Barry Shulman (2009) and James Bord (2010) were victorious in later years, before the event moved to the playground of Cannes in the South of France.

Elio Fox defeated Chris Moorman to take the first WSOPE Main Event to be held in Cannes, and then just last year, Phil Hellmuth, created a little bit of history by becoming the first winner of WSOP Main Events in two different continents, capping of an amazing year by beating Sergii Baranov in heads-up action for the €1,058,403 in prize money.

Once again the WSOP will team up with BarrierePoker.fr only this time the action will come from the Enghien-les-Bains, a suburb of the French capital Paris. As well as the excitement of having a new home the WSOP have also unveiled several exciting new events that include a €25,600 High Roller gold bracelet event.

The play will take place in the Casino Barriere d’Enghien-les-Bains, a 100-year-old lakeside casino, and also across the street at the Pergola Nova convention center. The event will feature seven gold bracelet events – the same that was offered in both 2010 & 2011.

“New tournament dates and 12 million Parisians have us aiming for the largest Main Event in Europe,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. “Baguettes and Bracelets; Champagne and Cash; we think is a winning recipe for the 2013 WSOP Europe.”

In addition to the feature gold bracelet events, the WSOPE will also host more than four-dozen side events and non-stop cash games.
