AsianBGE through its Dafabet brand, one of the top online sportsbook operators currently ranked 21st on the eGaming review list of the top 50 egaming operators in the World, has announced that it has signed a letter of intent, agreeing to work with London-based social betting company, Bodugi Technology.
Bodugi Technology’s flagship product is the Bodugi.com suite of social betting games. Users play peer to peer on poker-style tables for cash prizes, while a leaderboard is updated in real time as sports events unfold showing players how they are progressing. An internal social network including notifications, friend list, and chat boards, turns the process of betting on sports into an immersive experience. Bodugi is also integrated with external social networks, allowing users to share updates with friends who are not currently on the site. The company received a Betview award in 2012 and was praised as “Newcomer of the year”. Current Bodugi licensees include some of the biggest sports betting brands in Europe, and new partnerships are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Corporate research from Morgan Stanley suggests that social gambling could be worth $2.5 billiion by 2015, and acknowledges “The 170 million social gambling player base is over triple that of online gambling and is opening up gambling to a new pool of customers.” Dafabet and Bodugi Technology hope that by working together, they can continue to deliver engaging, profitable social betting products to Asian markets.
Asian BGE’s Managing Director, Dimitris Karatzas said “For some time now we have been looking to extend our reach into sports social gaming throughout Asia. We believe the timing is right now and with Bodugi we have the perfect partner to do this successfully.”
Bodugi founder Dave Nevison is pleased to be working with the well-established Dafabet brand to launch Bodugi in Asia. In a statement, he said “Asia is a complex market which represents a massive opportunity for us. We are delighted to have the chance to work with Dafabet to launch Bodugi here. We are committed to delivering a quality social betting experience to our customers, and we hope the warm reception we have received in Asia so far is a sign of great things to come.”
