Think Big.
That’s an appropriate tag for a business that relies on having to be quick on their feet and thinking about the next revolution that’ll change the landscape of the industry. In a nutshell, that’s what ICE Totally Gaming is all about. After all, it’s not considered one of the largest gambling conferences in the world for nothing. Our very own Jamie Hinks already dove into the specifics of what you should expect for the three-day event that will be held from the 5th to 7th of February.
It’s important to mention that ICE Totally Gaming is more than just the eight scheduled conferences and the 400 exhibitors that will cover 31,000 square meters of floor space; it’ll also play host to a multitude of special events scattered throughout the three-day extravaganza that are definitely worth keeping an eye on. You’ll need to RSVP some of them so better get an early hook up so you can enjoy the full festivities ICE Totally Gaming has to offer.
The first, and arguably most important, is the Totally Gaming Awards 2013. Sponsored by Novomatic, the Totally Gaming Awards pits all of the gaming industry’s heavyweights tow to tow in the industry’s premier award event. A lot of people will receive awards, a lot will lose out on ’em, but in the end, everybody involved are undoubtedly winners for being a part of the event. Be sure to check out the Totally Gaming Awards on Monday, February 4 at the East Wintergarden, located in Canary Wharf. At the very least, the event will serve as the perfect introductory event before ICE begins on the 5th. What better way to kick things off than having a blast at the Totally Gaming Awards?
The three-day event will offer plenty of time and opportunity for attendees to chat up and network with some of their peers in the industry. But wouldn’t it be better to enjoy the spirit of vibrancy of the conference that to do it at the Official ICE Party? Set to take place on the 6th of February at the O2 Arena just across the Thames from ExCeL London, the ‘circus’ theme of the Official ICE Party will give you an opportunity to rub elbows and get to know some of the finest minds in the gaming industry. And to do it while having a ball of a time in a party setting just makes the networking that much more fun.
Nobody will have any confusion about the work that will be happen at ICE Totally Gaming. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a few well-earned liquid indulgences of the alcoholic persuasion at the end of a tiring day. For the first time in ICE, the conference is launching the ICE Inn at the Fox pubs located at both entrances to ExCeL. Happy Hour will last from 6 to 8 pm on the 5th and 6th of February and from 4 to 6 pm. Look out for all the promos because you can get some discount on a lot of the drinks. Bottoms up, fellas!
Another special event that’s certainly worth attending is the EiG Breakfast where you can enjoy a hearty breakfast with some of the European iGaming industry’s finest minds. The breakfast will take place at the ExCeL’s South Gallery Suite 5 on the 7th of February from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Need we remind you, though, the breakfast is only limited to 40 guests so if you’re looking forward to attending, send in your RSVP to [email protected].
Two other special events – the Global Gaming Women Tea and the GiGse Lunch – will also provide attendees an avenue to learn more from some of the industry’s brightest minds. The former, in particular, is being hosted by Global Gaming Women and will comprise a free Mentoring Panel and Networking Tea on the 6th of February. Meanwhile, the latter will likewise give attendees a chance to learn more about the emerging Internet gaming industry in the US.
Needless to say, anybody attending ICE Totally Gaming will have a ball of a time during the three-day conference. For all the business dealings and networking that will inevitably take place, there’s also a time for everybody to let their hair down and have some fun during the event. These special events are all about having fun with your peers, and who are we to stop you from living it up!
