William Hill is enlisting the help of some of Europe’s best football leagues in a bid to gain more UK customers. They have signed a deal that sees them become the sponsor of ESPN’s televised coverage of the Italy’s Serie A, the Russian Premier League and the Dutch Eredivisie. Whether the action’s live, delayed or simply highlights, it will carry William Hill’s pre- and end-break bumpers. The deal also extends to various preview shows that are broadcast throughout the week.

The deal will give them more exposure in a European market that they have to rely on heavily thanks to the fact that they’re effectively shut out of Asia due to being a public company. Although increased exposure on the only other UK channel to show Premier League action apart from Sky is good, the deal doesn’t prevent other firms from advertising their services during ad breaks.

William Hill also becomes the betting partner for ESPNsoccernet’s upcoming mobile app and this is part of the deal that is likely to bear the company the most fruit. ESPN is already onto a winner with their free ESPN Goals app that delivers Premier League goals to mobile devices as they go in. Being on board with Soccernet app will give Hills all the more success.

Paddy Power has decided to enlist the services of Playtech to help fuel growth in its casino product. The “multi-year” deal sees Playtech provide Paddy with games, slots, table and card games in addition to a wide-range of branded content for both web-based and download formats. They began their partnership back in 2007 and in that time, Paddy has been a member of the iPoker network and Virtue Fusion bingo network.

EveryMatrix has signed a supplier deal that sees its sportsbook software used by four new patrons. New sportsbooks SportCity24, BetCave and Topsport join existing company ArtemisBet in choosing the OddsMatrix sportsbook as the platform they feel most adept at being a part of. As part of the agreement Topsport becomes the first company to launch a live betting software solution using the EveryMatrix platform.
