Redbet Gaming acquires Heypoker

redbetRedbet Gaming has made a number of key acquisitions this year. The company recently acquired i4poker, a gaming site focused on Eastern European markets and Redbet also acquired DoubleCardrooms, a gaming site powered by Entraction aimed at the Scandinavian market.

In keeping with their strategy to expand into the Scandinavian market, Swedish online gaming operator Redbet Gaming, a subsidiary of Redbet Holding has through an asset deal acquired Heypoker from 360 Holding AB for an undisclosed amount.

Heypoker is a gaming business focused on Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. The deal includes the gaming site Heypoker.com and its customer base with approximately 37,000 registered customers.

Heypoker.com offers a range of gaming services, including poker, casino and betting and is part of the Ongame Network. Heypoker.com generated a gross profit of around 2.7 MSEK during the first quarter this year, of which poker represented the largest part.Heypoker.com, also offers a casino and sports betting product.

Jorgen Andersson, CEO of Redbet Holding AB said in the press release,”Redbet’s growth strategy is based on both organic growth and acquisitions. The acquisition of Heypoker strengthens Redbet’s business and accelerates our growth in selected markets.”

360 Holding and Redbet previously partnered together following the launch in 2006 of the online betting exchange 360Bet.com. The site was shut down less than a year later in April 2007. With this new deal, 360 Holding now operates the sites, PokerPanthers.net and Finansbet.com.
