Fairway Charity Golf Open review

Fairway golf open

Fairway golf openOn a windy but fine K Club course, today’s Fairway Charity Golf Open saw the iGaming industry’s golfing contingent take centre stage. Taking place on the eve of the iGaming Super Show, the event contained a who’s who of those that think they have what it takes to be the Tiger Woods of the iGaming golfers.

Around 40 players showed with handicaps ranging from the low teens to the high 20s thus giving a good spread across the board. The course itself, designed by champion golfer Arnold Palmer, is no stranger to a prestigious tournament. It hosted the Ryder Cup earlier this century but the golden jug this was not!

The name of the game wasn’t to separate the best from the worst as it was organized with charity at its heart. Hosts GameOn Marketing and Fairway Casino ended up raising the sizeable amount of €1,400 for the Children First charity. The charity was set up to aid less fortunate boys and girls all over Ireland and everyone involved was ecstatic at the amount raised.

Sponsors included Fremantle Media Enterprises, who sponsored the eighth hole nearest the pin challenge with the aid of X Factor. Other highlights included a hip-flask and a set of high quality golf balls for all participants. At least you have something to carry ol’ Uncle Paddy’s special concoction around the Super Show in now!

CalvinAyre.com is the official video media sponsor of the event meaning that in the coming days, you can see for yourself how everyone got on. In the meantime, keep psyching yourself up for the CalvinAyre.com Seven Deadly Sins one-year anniversary party. It’ll be worth it when you get there! If you aren’t attending the party, remember that we will have live streaming right here on the tablog tomorrow night.
