Thanks to Boise’s kicker, there’s not much debate about the two teams that will be playing for the National Championship this year in college football. The Oregon Ducks, who are arguably the most exciting offensive team in the Nation and the Auburn Tigers with their dynamic QB have punched their tickets to Glendale Arizona to compete for the coveted crystal football 10 January 2011.
As for Auburn, before the season started it was Alabama that was favored by many experts to be in this position, but it has been the stellar play of Cam Newton that has guided Auburn to the National Championship games. Is there any doubt that Newton takes home the Heisman? After the astronomical numbers Newton put up and the team’s perfect record, I’d say it’s a done deal.
Sportsbooks don’t have to wait until January 10 to start putting up props for the BCS National Championship game. Two high powered offenses will duke it out, and it should be a great game.
