The cat and mouse game between underground betting syndicates and the police, in India, looks set to be a thing of the past as the country looks to take the easy way out and legalise sports betting in their part of the subcontinent. Problems with gambling have existed ever since Baldrick and his pals from the British Raj upped and left, with this pastime left behind, and this comes as neighbours Pakistan are embroiled in a cricket match fixing scandal, which many feel may not have existed had gambling been legalised long ago.
The Indian government have also realised that regulation would mean more money for them, in turn giving them increased cash to spend on sarees and the lucrative take-away market over in the Britain. Read more.
