The Bluejays lead the entire MLB in homeruns at 183 and at any given time their explosive offense can ignite and completely change the complexion of a game. Most oddsmakers have the Red Sox as huge favorites tonight at -210, especially with John Lester facing Brett Cecil for the Jays. Cecil has consistency problems, but when he’s on he can be efficient. You might be really tempted to take the Jays in an upset for game 1, but for those thinking the Jays bats can do damage against Lester, here’s my fair warning, keep in mind the Jays have one of the worst records against left-handed pitchers. That said, all it takes is a few bad pitches and the Jays can put runs on the board in a hurry. It’s a risky bet, but one at good value to take the Jays, but you better pray that Cecil can neutralize the Red Sox bats.
