A Frenchman, of all people, proved that the white man can run, when it comes to the 100m sprint that is, and beat out competition from what the rest of Europe had to offer by winning European Championship gold in Barcelonaaaa.
Christophe Lemaitre beat out the British duo of Mark Lewis Francis, second, and Dwain Chambers, fifth, with a time of 10.11 seconds, in what many will see as a victory for morality against steroids. One thing’s for sure though – if Usain Bolt had been around he’d have finished the race, already been back on a flight to Jamaica, got off the flight, returned home, gone to bed, and awoken to the sweet smell of some chicken nuggs.
