There’s been much debate about the NCAA expanding its tournament field to 68 teams, but looking at the new format, those complaining, probably shouldn’t be. The major conference teams that will be inserted into the First Four first round games should consider this a blessing, because according to NCAA spokesman Greg Shaheen, they probably wouldn’t be in the tournament otherwise.
