ESPN celebrates 7th anniversary of Moneymaker’s WSOP triumph

Hard to believe, but this week marks seven long years since Chris Moneymaker turned the poker world on its head with his surprise victory at the 2003 World Series of Poker. As the first victor in the tourney’s history to have qualified via an online poker site, Moneymaker gets a lot of the credit for the surge in poker’s popularity that took place over the past decade.
