Britain’s casinos using poker tournaments to boost traffic

UnionJackAttendance is up at UK casinos, and the rise can be attributed to two factors: (a) the relaxation of draconian restrictions on who’s allowed in, and (b) an emphasis on live poker tables. While slot machines dominate U.S. casino floor space, UK laws place limits on the number of slots per casino, and the extra floor space gets devoted to the growing number of online poker players who wish to try their hand at live tournaments.
