The number of compulsive gamblers in the UK has doubled since 2004, which has left one Guardian journalist wailing and gnashing his teeth at how little is being done to stamp out the evil marketing and deceptive practices of those dastardly gaming providers.

It is noticeable that the same journalist (shouldn’t he be working for the Daily Mail?) has nothing to say about how little is being done about the advertising of alcopops, cars and banks or how if people had the intelligence to take responsibility for their own actions and not spend what they can’t afford there wouldn’t be a problem, but one can only assume that doesn’t suit his own agenda.
