“You’d be surprised what you can find out by monitoring somebody.” So sayeth Alabama casino owner Milton McGregor, who claims to have stuck a private detective on former anti-gambling task force commander David Barber’s tail, which led to the discovery that Barber had won $2,300 in a Mississippi casino. McGregor goes on to claim that he informed Gov. Riley about Barber’s windfall and gave Riley a deadline to remove Barber from command or McGregor would make the info public. Riley’s office has minced no words in its reply, calling McGregor ‘a liar’. This really could end up in ‘pistols at dawn’ territory before long. Read more.
