HTML 5 game development platform Odobo have inked a deal that will see Unibet showcase their developers games to their ever-expanding marketplace.
First it was Bet365, then it was Betfair, and now it’s Unibet.
Three of Europe’s biggest gambling empires have all agreed terms with the HTML5 game development marketplace, Odobo, meaning their game developers have a greater level of exposure than ever before.
Securing the Unibet contract is a big boost for Odobo, as the online gambling outfit’s Q2 numbers were nothing short of scintillating.
Earnings rose 38% to £16.7m, revenue rose 24% to £77.1m, their sports betting vertical saw an increase in revenue of 40% to £31.9m (half of which was courtesy of the FIFA World Cup), and revenue for casino, poker and other games grew 15% to £45.2m.
The deal, which see the Odobo developers suite of HTML5 games, such as The Oddsventurers, Gold Dice and Baccpo, heading out to Unibet’s 8.9 million customers, widens their scope across Northern Europe and the Nordic Regions.
Unibet has customers in over 100 countries and Daniel Eskola, Head of Products and Gaming at Unibet, is delighted with the deal.
“We like the quality of Odobo’s games and the efficiency of its licensing process. We are always looking for innovative and diverse content of a high standard and are therefore pleased to be working with the Odobo platform.”
Julian Jarvis, chief business affairs officer at Odobo, echoed his sentiments.
“Unibet is a key player that offers Odobo stronger distribution in continental Europe and access to a substantial new player base. This is great news for us, our developers and ultimately the players who enjoy these games.”
Providing games to so many countries is not a problem for Odobo as every game is developed so it can be distributed across all supported jurisdictions and markets with rapid ease, making it a very attractive propositions for a gambling entity such as Unibet.
