BetOnline changes domain name from .com to .ag

betonline ag new domainThe bandwagon is already up to the brim, and now it appears that another sportsbook is jumping on board.Commission.bz, the affiliate network behind BetOnline.com, has just announced that effective on Wednesday, April 4, BetOnline will be changing its domain name from ‘.com’ to ‘.ag’.

At this point, we already know the reasoning behind this because we’ve seen a lot of books do the same in recent weeks. Heck, Legends even made a similar move – going from .com to .eu – just last week! The decision to change domain names comes as a preemptive move in part because of the recent crackdown by the US Department of Justice to seize these .com sports betting sites in their ongoing fight against the industry.

The move was pretty much expected considering that a number of other sportsbooks, including Bodog, JustBet, Sportsbook, 5Dimes, and Legends, have made decisions to change their domain names. A few sportsbooks , including Heritage and Pinnacle, still carry the .com domain name, although we believe that it’s only a matter of time before they follow in this domain name migration.

Commission.bz has assured its customers that despite the change in domain, the only thing that will be different from before will be the last few letters you type in your keyboard before clicking “Enter”. Everything else will remain the same on BetOnline.ag, including players’ account balances, usernames, passwords, account histories, betting options, bonuses, and banking options.

So remember, BetOnline customers. Effective Wednesday, April 4, BetOnline.com will be no more. it’s BetOnline.ag now.
