Sunday’s game will feature two storied franchises set to play in front of the biggest Super Bowl crowd ever, the spread is field goal, so, where are you going to be when history is made? And what will you be eating?

For most of us, watching the Super Bowl at Cowboys stadium isn’t a remote possibility. On Sunday, most of us will be with friends watching the game at a Super Bowl party. Yes, there will be gambling, it’s the biggest sports betting event of the year. And yes, there will be drinking, what’s the Super Bowl without a few cold brews? But what about the food?

If you’re holding a Super Bowl party, the last thing you want to have happen is for people to have to leave to get food because you’re serving up some crackers and sardines.

Here’s some great finger foods to serve and bring to a Super Bowl party.

Hot Wings
You absolutely, positively can’t go wrong with serving hot wings. They make the perfect finger food, just make sure you have enough blue cheese and ranch dressing and you’re good to go. Beer and hot wings and the Super Bowl, just think about that combination for a moment, let it marinate. Can’t wait for Sunday.

Glazed Sausage Bites
These little bite size pieces of heaven are always a crowd pleaser. Here’s a nice recipe.
Hey guys, if you’re not nice with it in the kitchen, you might want let the lady handle this one.

1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup fine cracker crumbs
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
1/8 teaspoon ground thyme
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Combine sausage, egg, crumbs, 1/3 cup milk, and ground sage and thyme in a bowl. Beat at high speed for 5 minutes. Shape into about 3 dozen small balls or footballs. Remember to keep your hands wet to make shaping easier. Then, in a large skillet brown the sausage balls slowly on all sides, it should take you about 12 minutes. Pour off the excess fat. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over the sausage bites. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve before kick-off.

Nachos with ground beef and cheese
Okay, you’ve got beer, hot wings, glazed sausage bites and now you have Nachos with ground beef and cheese, if there’s beautiful single women at your party it might be one of the best of all time.

This finger food is easy to make, but in addition to the regular cheddar cheese, might I suggest mixing in some Piave Vecchio, it’s a hard Italian cheese that makes awesome nachos, amazing.

Good food, good people, bets made, beer poured, now you’re ready to watch Super Bowl XLV.
