Italy never really seems to have a lot to cheer about these days, however the Lottomatica Group may well have put the smiles back on the faces of quite a number of Italians. The gaming group has posted total revenues of €574.5m for the second quarter of 2010, an increase of 11% on the same period last year.
It has the performance of both the GTECH lottery business, and also interactive section GTECH G2 to thank for the figures, who can’t go a week without being in the thick of things. Lets just hope they don’t celebrate by going overboard with too many deals, although the new US Gambling legislation could be massive news for the Italian firm. Read more.
