Italian Gaming Authority waivers from original plan

Italian PokerItaly’s Gaming Authority really does like a good old dust up with whoever’s spoiling for a ruckus. First they decided it would be in their interests to block any Maltese gaming sites from operating within the country, and they’ve now gone another few rungs up the ladder as they re-notified the European Commission to the draft decree regulating casino and poker cash games. This follows a complaint from Microgame complaining that they changed the original decree, which isn’t allowed under EU law. A bit like naming your World Cup squad and then taking a completely different group of players then acting as if nothing’s happened, and after all that just admitting defeat. Read more.
