Sands China seeking airline partner to shuttle gamblers to Macau

Everyone’s heard of those junket boats that ferry Chinese gamblers from the mainland to the gambling Mecca that is Macau. Well, boats are slow and small, and Sands honcho Sheldon Adelson doesn’t do slow or small. Adelson wants to partner with a Chinese airline to create a low-cost air-travel option for Chinese gamblers, and he wants it within the next 12 months. Barring that, Adelson is accepting bids on a proposal to levitate the gambling capital and fly it on a tour of various Chinese cities. Read more.
