As has been reported on this site recently, Canada has warmed to the idea of legalizing online gambling with Atlantic, Quebec, British Columbia and now even Ontario’s provincial governments set to switch on the green light. So what’s the deal with Alberta? Aside from losing millions on falling slot machine and video lottery terminal revenues, it seems like the province has also shot itself in the foot by receiving tax dollars for its ‘good work’ into gambling addiction; good work that will prevent it from jumping on the online gambling gravy train.
