The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) has released a list of recommendations to curb problem gambling in the UK, which include a ban on credit card use to fund online gambling and a review of affiliate marketing.

The Story
The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Gambling Related Harm called on the government to “urgently introduce new gambling legislation with a focus on harm prevention.” In its interim report, the APPG said it sees “no justification for having slot machine style games online with staking levels above £2” and calls for a ban on funding online play with credit cards. Other recommendations made by the APPG include a total ban on gambling sponsorship of sports teams and a review of affiliate marketing.
