Denmark’s gambling regulator Spillemyndigheden warned online gambling licensees to be truthful about their “free” bonus offers in their marketing material, especially if said offers have a turnover requirement. The Spillemyndigheden said licensees can only use the phrases “free of charge,” “free spins,” and “free bet,” if “the chance of winning is not reduced and the offer does not involve a turnover requirement.” The reminder was issued after Danish politicians pressed the government to impose a new cap of DKK1k ($151) on the value of such offers.
