Team Poker Stars continues to get strong performances, this time from Jason Mercier, who showed no mercy in outlasting a monster field World Championship of Online Poker Event #42. For his efforts, Mercier took home a nice bounty of 435K.
With the victory, the American Mercier has boosted his standing in the WCOOP Leaderboard. Mercier now sits in fifth place behond the leader, Russia’s Kroko-dill who sits on top of the leaderboard with 260 points.
There’s still time for players to make one last push for the leader board, 16 events still remain on the 62-tournament schedule, and the WCOOP Main Event is scheduled to start on September 26th.
