OPAP, the company which owns the gambling monopoly in Greece, has hired a former Olympics organiser to run their company.
Yannis Spanoudakis, who was involved in the Athens Olympics in 2000, has been named the company’s Chief Executive Officer, where his brief will be to continue ensuring there is no freedom of trade in the gambling industry in Greece, the Greek economy continues to flounder and the gulf between the haves and the have-nots continues to widen. How nice.
