Super Bowl 49ers Game Props
In Super Bowl LIV against the Kansas City Chiefs, the San Francisco 49ers will attempt to join the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers as the only franchises with six Super Bowl titles. The Niners were the NFC’s top seed this season and also were when they won four of their previous five championships. That Sunday’s game is in Miami may bode well as the Niners are 2-0 in the two Super Bowls they have played in south Florida.
San Francisco had one of the NFL’s best defenses in the regular season, ranking No. 2 in total yards allowed and No. 1 against the pass. That unit also had five touchdowns during the regular season (none in the playoffs). The Niners are given an over/under of 1.5 total defensive/special teams touchdowns in the Super Bowl with the under a heavy -2000 favorite. Keep in mind there has never been a punt-return touchdown in a Super Bowl.
49ers running back Raheem Mostert was historically good in the NFC Championship Game win over the Green Bay Packers with 220 yards rushing and four touchdowns – not bad for a journeyman who had been released seven times in his career. He is + 700 to win MVP honors in the Super Bowl (no running back has this century), +750 to be the last touchdown scorer of the game regardless of team and +350 to score the final touchdown the Niners have in the game.
No question that San Francisco’s receiving group can’t compare to Kansas City’s other than at tight end with the 49ers’ George Kittle. He is given the highest over/under receiving yardage total of any Niners player at 70.5. Kittle is also listed at 5.5 receptions and a longest catch of 22.5. He’s +1000 to be the last TD scorer of Super Bowl LIV.
How many TDs will the Niners score in the game? The co-favorites (regardless of how they are scored) are two and three, both at +280. The long shot is zero at +1600. San Francisco has a very accurate kicker in Robbie Gould, although he generally doesn’t have a huge leg. The over/under for total made field goals by the Niners is 1.5, with the over a slight favorite. Gould is 5-for-5 this postseason.
