PokerStars has renamed a $22 Pot-Limit Omaha daily tournament The Lex Veldhuis Open, and opened up a challenge to all players to have the event renamed in their honour; Jason Somerville RunItUp show joins the Deepstacks Poker Tour in Calgary, Canada.
You may remember Lex Veldhuis as the man who once kicked Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier’s head into the atmosphere surrounding Mars, but rumour has it he’s also a pretty good poker player.
The Team PokerStars Pro has a popular Twitch stream where he provides thrills and spills for his 11,741 followers playing under his pseudonym RaSZi.
The Dutchman has been quite a hit in the PokerStars daily $22 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) Six-Max Turbo event, so much so, that PokerStars offered him a unique challenge.
“Make the final table three times in the space of seven days and we will name the event after you.”
Last week, he did just that, making the final table on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday. PokerStars have renamed the $22 PLO Six-Max Turbo Event the Lex Veldhuis Open.
“From now on we play in my house,” said Veldhuis after his accomplishment.
Not so fast, Lex.
Ensuring no cries of nepotism, PokerStars has opened up the challenge to all of their players. If you can make the final table of The Lex Veldhuis Open three times in a week, they will rename the event {The Your Name Open}.
Jason Somerville Takes His Stream on The Road With Deepstacks
