It’s not everyday that you get to see some of the biggest names in sports in one place with heavyweights in the betting and gaming industry. But on those occasions when the stars do align, you’re going to be treated to a big night. A very big night.
It’s appropriate then that the BiG Sports Dinner carries that name. Not only is it considered the only Sports Dinner in the Betting and Gaming Industry but it’s also a very big deal, the kind that turns an evening into a fantastic night of sports stories, banter and entertainment, and doing so while raising money for sports-related charities.
At its core, the BiG Foundation aspires to improve the physical, social, emotional and psychological wellbeing of these individuals, as well as their immediate families and carers, with the provision of specialist care, support networks, sports resources or equipment, assisting access to, participation in and engagement with sports and physical activities.
But far more than just the encompassing objective of the event, one of the reasons why the foundation’s big night should be circled in a lot of people’s calendars is because it brings all these names from two different industries together for a chance at a night of revelry and networking opportunities. Because the event is also being held to honor individuals and companies from the sports and gaming industry, the BiG Sports Dinner will also feature a pair of attention-grabbing awards – “Best Sports Betting Campaign” and the “Best Use of a Sporting Star in a Betting Campaign” – that will give due recognition the best movers and shakers in the business.
The BiG Sports Dinner is going to be held at the Dorchester in London on September 10, 2014. The black tie event begins at 7:00 pm and will include a three-course dinner with fine wine, a Q and A session with multiple top sporting celebrities, plenty of fundraising activities, and a night’s worth of networking opportunities for the over 450 guests that are expected to attend. And in case you’re wondering which sporting heroes will be in attendance, the BiG Sports Dinner hopes to see attendances from Petra Ecclestone (and friends), Harry Redknapp, Jason Leonard OBE and Jamie Spencer, among others. And as is always the case with events of this magnitude, CalvinAyre.com will be there in attendance as the BiG Sports Dinner’s official media sponsor.
