The WSOP sees 55 events eligible for the player of the year rankings to see who will be top of the pile of BLUFFers.
Elsewhere, following the events of Black Friday a new site has sprung up. According to BLUFF magazine, the great unveiling of RISE Poker will take place on May 31st. The rake-free poker site works on a part-social part-subscription basis offering free and VIP memberships.
“The market could not be better for a new, innovative rake-free site to fill the massive void created by the recent U.S. departures of the largest offshore online gambling sites. We want to obliterate what the market thinks of a typical membership poker site,” says Steve “Chops” Preiss, RISE Poker Executive Vice President of Business Development.
VIP membership costs $19.99 every month and the launch coincides with $100,000 worth of prizes on offer in addition to a seat at the upcoming WSOP Main Event.
