Hilton Hotels, in name, is coming back to the Las Vegas Strip, and is doing so in spectacular fashion. The global hotel chain has signed a deal with Malaysia-based Genting Group to put three of its brands at the company’s Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV) property, which is scheduled to open next year. Visitors to the resort will be able to select from Hilton Hotels & Resorts, LXR and Conrad once the resort is operational, and will also be able to use their Hilton Honors rewards program at the property.

This new partnership, which will see a total of 3,500 rooms under the Hilton name, is a huge coup and will give it better odds at being able to bump Marriott from the top.

In announcing the new partnership, RWLV President Scott Sibella said, “With our commitment to redefining the luxury hotel standard in Las Vegas, it was only natural for us to partner with Hilton, a leader in the global hospitality industry. Hilton embodies the values and top-level hospitality that align with Resorts World’s priority of bringing an unmatched guest experience to the Las Vegas market.”

He added, “We had various options before we decided on partnering up with Hilton. We decided we wanted to have a partner that is a leader in global hospitality, and Hilton is probably the best at it. They had the history of really starting what Las Vegas is today with the Las Vegas Hilton.”

Hilton hasn’t been absent in Vegas; there are several properties found in the city under the brand’s umbrella. However, not since a couple of years ago, when the Las Vegas Hilton became the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, has there been a Strip hotel that carried the Hilton name in public view. Currently, the company also has the DoubleTree and the Waldorf Astoria in Sin City.

Hilton’s president of global development, architecture, design and construction, Ian Cater, adds, “This will mark our largest multi-brand deal in company history, and we are excited to work with our new partners to create a distinct hotel experience in an unbeatable location for our future guests.”

The hotel brand also oversees operations at other Genting properties, notably Resorts World Bimini and a Genting hotel in Miami, FL. The company is also partnered with Penn National, operating the DoubleTree, located inside the Tropicana.

This has been a busy week for Sibella and the crew at RWLV. Just prior to completing this partnership with Hilton, which had been in the works for about a year, it signed an agreement with Konami Gaming that will see the latter exclusively provide gaming control for the property through its SYNKROS casino management system.
