Poker giant gives back to help those in need
Fancy playing an online charity poker tournament to make a difference? You could hardly pick a better one than the one on offer from partypoker on October 13th.
With partypoker LIVE hosting their Caribbean Poker Party at Baha Mar again this year, players will be flocking to the poker paradise between November 15th – 24th. So if any company will feel the pain of those affected by Hurricane Dorian, it’s partypoker. Hurricane Dorian had a devastating impact on Grand Bahama and The Abacos Islands, both of which lie to the north of the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau.
Between them, partypoker LIVE and the Baha Mar Casino have clubbed together to add an incredible $78,000 in the for of not one, not two but eight packages that will be on offer during the $100-entry tournament that takes place on Sunday 13th October.
Here’s how the prizes break down:
1st – 3rd place: Your $16,000 package includes a Caribbean Poker Party holiday package between 15th-24th November at the Baha Mar Hotel Nassau, with nine nights at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for two people, $1,400-worth of room credit and $2,000 expenses. Oh, and your Main Event buy in, which is worth $10,300.
4th – 8th place: Worth $6,000, your nine nights at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for two are still included, as well as your $2,000 expenses. With $600-worth of room credit and entry to the $1,100 Mini Main Event thrown in, it’s quite a juicy prize!
Partypoker have a solid record for giving back to those in need just when they need it most. Back in 2017, Tennis superstar and partypoker representative at the time Boris Becker helped to raise money for international children’s charity Herz Für Kinder, which is dedicated to improving children’s lives across the globe. Earlier this year, of course, partypoker worked in collaboration with Triton Poker with the £1,050,000 buy-in Triton Million being and event specifically advertised as “A Helping Hand for Charity”.
One thing worth noting is that should you already have a package to the Caribbean Poker Party, then you can win and transfer any package won in this event – but only on this occasion.
At just $100 to play, it would look like partypoker will have plenty of players in the market for eight huge prizes, raising plenty of money for victims of Hurricane Dorian.
