Across the globe, online gaming continues to spread. The U.S. and Asia are beginning to see an introduction into the activity, but countries across Europe seem to be the most anxious to allow entry by international operators. Sweden and Denmark have seen a flurry of activity recently, and Pragmatic Solutions is one of the latest to get involved in the Swedish market. The online gambling platform provider has been approved by Swedish gambling regulators to launch its PAM iGaming solution in the country. On the heels of that approval, it has also been approved to launch its platform in the U.K.
In a press release from the end of July, Pragmatic indicated that Sweden is a “significant marketplace” for iGaming, adding that it is an important location for many of the company’s clients. The ability to launch its platform in the country is, according to the company, a huge step forward in being a global iGaming leader.
The company’s business development director, Mark Woollard, adds, “This latest certification shows the platform is capable of developing in an agile and effective manner when a client requests a new territory. Sweden is of strategic importance to many of our clients and we are excited that our platform is able to serve their needs moving forward. There has been a lot of stand-out progress for the platform in 2019, and this latest certification adds more weight to that progression.”
Yesterday, Pragmatic announced its latest achievement, the U.K. approval. It gives the company the ability to offer its API-based platform to all regulated U.K.-facing clients, which is a major step forward. Pragmatic asserts that the approval will allow it to achieve “a whole new level of success.”
Woolard states, “This latest certification shows the platform’s capabilities when under the most focused spotlight. Pragmatic have worked extremely hard in 2019 to expand their business and this latest certification is testament to the team’s ability to move quickly and effectively to meet client demands. The U.K. is a busy marketplace but we believe that our offering, promoting complete client control, is something which operators will find refreshing. We look forward to having many conversations with U.K. businesses moving forward.”
