A double barrel from the tight waistband of partypoker including news of a new Player Council, and that the 15-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, Phil Hellmuth, will be featuring at the MILLIONS South America event in Brazil.
Learning that partypoker has created a Player Panel gives me the same feeling when I hear that someone learned Latin in school.
That’s pretty cool.
Followed.
By.
That’s not going to last.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP).
The World Poker Tour (WPT).
The European Poker Tour (EPT).
They’ve all created player councils to a varying degree, and the one thing they all have in common is they never last.
Let’s hope, partypoker’s idea is different.
The new panel consists of current ambassadors such as Joao Simao, Fedor Holz, Ike Haxton, Jason Koon, Sam Trickett, Patrick Leonard and Mike Sexton. Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and Bruno Fitoussi will lend an ear to the Spanish and French in the European Shared Liquidity mass.
The role of the Player Council is to improve communication between partypoker and their customers, understand the terrain of player ecology, and act as arbitrators on integrity issues such as fraud, collusion and game etiquette. There is also scope to develop strategies against unwanted third-party software intrusion, consultation on cash game ecology, and improving player experience in the online and live realms.
partypoker, Managing Director, Tom Waters called the Player Panel an elite team who can help drive the needs of the business while at the same time ensuring the interests of our players are central to our decisions.
Phil Hellmuth to Feature in partypoker MILLIONS South America
Is there room on the Player Council for one more?
Phil Hellmuth will compete at partypoker MILLIONS South America, making it the first time, the 15-time WSOP bracelet winner has appeared in that neck of the woods. Hellmuth has a long and fruitful history with partypoker, having made several European appearances on their behalf when they were partners with the WPT.
The $10,000 buy-in, $5,000,000 Guaranteed MILLIONS South America takes place between 15-24 March live from the Copacabana Palace Hotel in Rio, Brazil, and satellites are currently running on the site.
We have a massive announcement for #MILLIONSSouthAmerica in March. Playing the Main Event, and for the first time ever in South America, is none other than the all time bracelet leader @phil_hellmuth. Can’t wait to see what you get up to on the felt Phil! https://t.co/wgMiP6HNUk pic.twitter.com/KdGIW9tI9c
