Upper Class.

Middle Class.

Working Class.

The world is a Sleazy Joe concert, and it turns us off. Only a few narratives find a way through our defences. For me, and I believe many people in poker, that narrative is of the working class.

I can hear the shovels cracking stones as they dig my grave in the cemetery down the road. I can feel the worms crawling through every shithole, nosehole, and earhole.

The desire to be a mascara-wearing Robert Smith. The glint of the razor blade. The urge to thrust Resistance into a wheelchair, and launch it off the white cliffs of Dover.

If I jump, it’s all over.

Who hears me?

Who sees me?

partypoker.

The message is as clear as the patio glass my Dad broke through when he saw my sister falling into a sandpit full of dogshit.

Empathise with the grassroots of poker.

Make change happen.

Here are a few stories with that theme sewn into the fabric like an arrow through the eye of a geezer astride a horse in the Bayeux Tapestry.

partypoker Live Lounge

Apart from masturbating over porn, what exactly do poker players do when they distance themselves from the poker tables.

partypoker want to reduce the friction.

According to Pokerfuse, partypoker LIVE debuted their Live Lounge at the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, recently. The area is a place for poker players to chill away from the tables with complimentary food and drinks, iPads, charging stations, and various other bits and bobs.

John Duthie, President of partypoker LIVE, told Pokerfuse that the Live Lounge is part of his five-year plan to dominate the world of live poker, making the rather bold statement that we will add and remove venues not based on profitability, but on popularity.

So it pays to ensure that you pull out all of the stops to ensure your partner casinos become the most popular.

The partypoker ethos on this one is:

“Putting the community back into poker.”

partypoker LIVE Partner With Victoria Gate Casino

partypoker LIVE continues to build relationships at the grassroots level of poker after brokering a deal with the Victoria Gate Casino in Leeds.

The online poker room will sponsor the Monday Club 50, a £55 buy-in, £5,000 GTD event that begins at 19:30. The press release also stated the casino would host partypoker LIVE events, as well as collaborate with partypoker’s premium partners The World Poker Tour (WPT) and World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Players can deposit or withdraw from their online account at the casino cage and can use PP LIVE Dollars to buy into live events held at the casino. Patrick Noakes, Managing Director of Victoria Gate Casino, called his poker room one of the primary venues of the North.

partypoker Upgrades Tournament Lobby

From the live realm to the online one, and partypoker has announced another round of software improvements, this time for the Windows Desktop (does anyone own one?)

Here are the upgrades:

• Enhanced Player list function
• Quick access navigation tabs
• ‘Position’/‘Stack’ feature
• Player notes icon
• Table settings preview
• Ability to retain table themes

The use of the ‘Big Blind’ display so that players can view their stack in big blinds, has also been expanded.

The communication line on this one carries the same theme.

partypoker’s ongoing pledge is to listen to its players, allied with an ongoing drive to improve its core poker product.
