Why wait for Godzilla vs Kong when you can play partypoker's Monster

partypoker is continuing the momentum applied through October’s Powerfest by venturing into the niche of micro stakes festivals for the first time during October’s Monster series.

Fans of the MonsterVerse have a long wait to get their hands on some monster action.

After the giant success of Godzilla (2014) and Kong: Skull Island (2017), the American media franchise has recently announced that Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be released in 2019, followed by Godzilla vs Kong in 2020.

That’s two to three years away!

What to do until then?

Fortunately, partypoker is filling the void.

The online poker operator currently lighting up the OnlinePokerVerse is entering the micro stakes festival genre for the first time in October.

The Monster Series encompasses 140 events, split between micro and mid stakes buy-ins, and a guaranteed pile of prize pools totalling $5m. As the promotion states: tiny buy-ins; monster guarantees.

It’s the right timing for the partypoker as it builds on the considerable momentum gained via their September Powerfest Series.

Why wait for Godzilla vs Kong when you can play partypoker's MonsterThe new Monster Series runs for 11-days October 21 to 31 with buy-ins ranging from $1.10 to $215, and the opportunity to buy-in via online satellites for a much smaller outlay.

The mastermind behind the new schedule is partypoker’s Bryan Slick, who said he created Monster with feedback from the players. When you have access to the minds of Fedor Holz, Sam Trickett, and Patrick Leonard, then there is a high expectation.

Let’s take a closer look at the tiers:

Micro Level

Players will compete for $1m in guaranteed prize money spread across 70 tournaments.

Buy-ins range between $1.10 to $22, and it culminates with a $22 buy-in, single re-entry, Main Event with a $300,000 Guarantee on Sunday 29 October.

Mid Level

Players competing in the mid-stakes events will have to stump up buy-ins ranging from $11 to $215. Once again the schedule contains 70 games, only this time the guarantees are much higher – $4m in total. The cigar in the mouth of this bad boy is a $215 buy-in $1m GTD Main Event scheduled for Sunday 29 Oct.

Monster Series Rake Race

Also, partypoker is putting on a Rake Race.

From Oct 12 to 22 (Low & Mid Stakes) and Oct 21 – 31 (High Stakes), partypoker is offering $100k+ in cash and prizes in a series of leaderboard style contests playing in Fast Forward games.
