This Saturday, live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Nevada Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz step in the cage as the main even for UFC 202.
The Irishman is a slight favourite over the American with McGregor needing $130 to win $100 while Diaz is paying even money for the win.

This fight was originally to take place at UFC 200 but McGregor took a stand against the excessive press conference demands by announcing his retirement from the sport. Clearly it was a publicity stunt but UFC boss Dana White didn’t enjoy the joke. White pulled the fight from UFC 200 and once cooler heads prevailed, the Diaz-McGregor rematch was set to headline UFC 202.
The first fight back at UFC 196 shocked the UFC masses as Diaz withstood McGregor’s early onslaught and then Diaz slipped him into a choke once the featherweight king gassed out.
It’s hard to imagine this fight going much differently than the first. McGregor is a smaller man, despite his heavy hands at 145lbs; they don’t have the same stopping power at 170lbs. Diaz will have a full camp, unlike UFC 196 where he was drinking tequila just eight days prior. The fact that McGregor is the favorite here says more about the betting public’s belief in the McGregor hype, and the money they’re dropping on him, than it says about his actual ability to come away with the victory.
Prediction: Nate Diaz 3rd Round submission.
